Trip 2 to Kruger november 2009
November 11th 2009.....
This day was a rich day with lots of different species and beautiful sightings.
I was in the Mopani area on a mission... hunting / finding big elephant bulls and hopefully some named or emerging tuskers .
First one just had his right tusk, which was impressive.
The other pictures show some nice situations , like the bull next to the buffalo... no words needed to show the difference in size.

Elephant bulls training for line-dancing ??
4 big bulls on a mission.... after having visited a waterhole they are on their way to ......??
Great to have them in a row coming towards me at a distance less then 25 meters....
Special sighting...another dinner party but now with Birds on top of a dead impala.
Up: A Tawny Eagle
Under: Yellow Billed Kite
Early morning ... leaving Mopani and taking the Capricorn Loop (why not....)
Near the Tihongoyeni waterhole we had another great sighting.
Scene: pack of hyena's killed a zebra (no left-over of lions) , jackal , different kind of vultures the killed zebra and a group of zebra.
Sad to see the zebra looking at their family member.
Nice to have 4 different species at one picture.
hyena and jackal very close together at the waterhole... and close near the kill.... brave jackal !!
